Policy Governance® 101

The VSBA is hosting a one-day in-person training for newly elected or appointed members to school boards that have formally adopted Policy Governance® as its governance system. 

 

This training is designed for orienting new board members who want to understand the 'what,' 'why,' and 'how' of Policy Governance® principles. In addition to an overview of the 10 principles, the training will cover the mechanics of: developing and implementing policies, policy monitoring, agenda planning, work plan creation, board-self evaluation, and the superintendent evaluation process in a Policy Governance® system.

Cost:  $350/new board member. Price includes morning snack, lunch and materials.
